Through the manipulation of various nanomaterials and nano-architectures to control the Debye radius, diffusion layer, and Stern layer of the electrical double layer (EDL), Prof. Di WEI has achieved controlled charge transport based on iontronics (using ions as charge carriers). Controlled charge transport serves as a fundamental aspect in various scientific and technological domains, serving as both carriers of energy and information, as well as probes for material properties and kinetics. These endeavors have expanded our understanding on traditional electrochemical EDL interfaces.
